Dear SoCalATA Professional Member,
The Call for Nominations for SoCalATA’s 2019 election is open August 1st and closes October 31st. Consider either nominating a Professional Member colleague or yourself for one of two positions open, President-Elect and Secretary. Member engagement is critical to the success of our professional organization and the Board relies on your recommendations for dedicated candidates. Only SoCalATA Members may submit nominations.
Here is a brief description of the duties of each position:
The President-Elect serves a two-year term before succeeding the President in office. The general duties of the President-Elect are to oversee the work of Ad Hoc Committees; study presidential duties and responsibilities; and oversee the implementation of the Chapter's Policies and Procedures. The President-Elect is also expected to perform the duties of the President in the President's absence or inability to serve.
The Secretary serves a two-year term. The general duties include record/present minutes of official meetings; update P&Ps; maintain Chapter's official records; handle official correspondence as requested by the President.
Nominations may be sent using the link below or emailed to the SoCalATA Nominating Committee at email@example.com (see pdf version attached).
Self-nominations are welcome, as are nominations of Professional Member colleagues you would like to see fill these positions. If you are nominating a fellow member, please make an effort to confirm with them that they are willing to run before returning the nomination form.
The deadline for nominations is Thursday, October 31st before 5:00 p.m. PST.
We look forward to receiving your nomination of a colleague or yourself to join SoCalATA’s dynamic Board of Directors.
